The Body Shop Manager will lead and direct the daily operations of the Exeter, NH and Bow, NH auto-body repair departments, focusing on profitability, employee retention, and overall customer satisfaction. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Service Operations.

Compensation based on experience level, and ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 per year.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the oversight of daily operations.
  • Develop and implement auto-body repair and painting process and standards.
  • Thoroughly assess heavy-duty truck collision damage, including cab, chassis, and attached equipment (e.g., sleepers, boxes).
  • Create detailed, accurate, and itemized repair estimates using AdjustRite or appropriate software.
  • Negotiate claim scope, pricing, and timelines with insurance carriers to ensure project profitability and on-time completion.
  • Coordinate scheduling and completion of all New England Wrecker Sales warranty pre-delivery and post-delivery projects, balancing internal build requirements with the need for responsive customer service.
  • Monitor service metrics to identify areas of improvement.
  • Develop and implement training development programs.
  • Motivate and mentor the body shop teams.
  • Manage escalated customer complaints to expedient resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments and locations to streamline process.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Management experience in Body Shop Industry.
  • Experience with OSHA, DOT, hours of service, FMSCA regulations and EPA regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, customer service, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, and Full Bay systems.

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Automotive Engineering or related experience preferred.
  • A minimum of (5) years proven experience in management roles within the automotive and heavy diesel industry, focused on auto body repair and painting.
